Property Tax System in Georgia

The Andrew Young School of Policy Services of Georgia State University convened a Property Tax Conference at the Capitol Education Center in Atlanta on September 11, 2008.  This conference attracted over three hundred school, county and city officials – among others.  Speakers, including those from several other states, provided information about Georgia’s property tax system, including their experiences with property tax reform and possible policies to use for reducing or controlling property taxes.
