Keeping you informed...

A vital aspect of GSBA's operations is keeping its members and other audiences informed on education issues and the work of the Association. Numerous vehicles are used to spread the word about "must know" issues and the programs and services GSBA offers. Underlying all of the published documents and "cyber" communication are numerous opportunities for members and others to get information first hand through face-to-face meetings and personal contact with GSBA staffers. The door is always open and the phone lines and staff e-mail links are always accessible for those with questions or suggestions about GSBA and its programs and services.

To be effective, GSBA must communicate clearly and consistently with a number of key audiences. School board members top the list, of course, but it is equally important that GSBA maintain on-going relationships with local school superintendents, state and federal level legislators, state level educational leaders, educational organizations, the news media, NSBA and other state school boards associations, numerous vendors and advertisers and numerous others. The Association uses numerous ways to reach these audiences with targeted information. GSBA also uses "mass communication" vehicles such as newsletters, publications and press releases. Through this area of the Web site you can access and/or get information on all of the documents produced and published by GSBA. Visit the Directory of Services to obtain contact information about a specific program or service of GSBA.
