Mission
The mission of the Georgia School Boards Association is to ensure excellence in the governance of local school systems by providing leadership, advocacy and services, and by representing the collective resolve of Georgia’s 180 elected boards of education.

Strategic Plan
In January 2008, GSBA went through a process to review its strategic plan and involved school board members, superintendents, district staff members, legislators and business community representatives from all over the state. The planning team did not change GSBA's mission statement or add new strategies. They did come to consensus on several new belief statements and new key results. The following provides details on GSBA's strategic plan.
