GSBA considers it a privilege to serve local school systems and other related constituent groups. We exist solely for the purpose of fostering improvements to Georgia's public education system--and the governance structure empowered to guide local school systems. Membership in GSBA may be classified as follows:

Local Boards of Education
The local school system's board of education (as a collective) is the member. GSBA serves the needs of individual board members of that system in the areas of training and other services. Each system has one delegate "vote" at the Association's annual business meeting (Delegate Assembly), thus ensuring the equitable representation of the Association's positions, policies and programs.

Georgia Council of School Board Attorneys
Through an affiliation with the National School Boards Association and the National Council of School Board Attorneys, GSBA offers local attorneys in Georgia membership in the Georgia Council of School Board Attorneys. The Council provides members specialized information and training vital to attorneys effectively representing school districts. Inquiries about membership in GSBA may be directed to the Association's Assistant Executive Director Mark Willis .
