President Elect

Dr. Jimmy Pope was installed as President Elect at the 2009 Summer Conference and Delegate Assembly. He has been a member of the Carrollton City Board of Education for 26 years and served as chair for 13 of those years. Dr. Pope was the 2007 GSBA Vice President and a former District 6 Director of GSBA for six years. He has served as a member of the NSBA Federal Relations Network, the GSBA Governmental Operations Committee and the GSBA Executive Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors for GSBA's subsidiary, eBOARDsolutions. Dr. Pope is a surgeon with the Carrollton Surgical Group and a past chief of staff with the Tanner Medical Center.
