Franklin Pinckney, Sr., has served as GSBA treasurer since September 2007 and was elected by GSBA Delegates to a full three-year term as treasurer in June 2008. Pinckney formerly served as GSBA District 8 Director. His service to GSBA includes being a legislative liaison and system delegate to the GSBA delegate assembly and member of the NSBA Federal Relations Network (FRN). He also served on the 2008 Strategic Planning Team, the Audit Committee, the GSBA Governmental Operations Committee and the Standards Committee. He is a trainer for the GSBA Veteran Board Training Program. Pinckney retired from the Ware County School System in 1995, where he served as teacher, assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent. He has been a member of the Ware County Board of Education since January 2000 and currently serves as chair.
