Events & Training

Conferences - GSBA hosts two conferences annually, which are a great place for new board members to network with other school board members and educational leaders.

New Board Member Orientation - This workshop provides the mandated 12 hours of training that new board members must receive during their first year of service. The workshop is offered twice per year as a pre-conference workshop.

Training - GSBA offers a wide variety of training and training delivery methods including regional workshops, webinars, pre-conference workshops and online training. The association also offers custom board retreats and a veteran board member training opportunity.

Candidates for School Board - GSBA has information for citizens wishing to run for a seat on their local board.
